Our 2015 Adventure Has Begun

Yes we are in Holland. The cheese capital of the world.

We are now in Holland, staying in s’Gravendeel with Cousin Martin. He looks after our motorhome while we are back in Australia. Our flights over went well until we picked up our baggage at the airport in Paris. All came to a standstill as security had locked down the section of the terminal due to someone leaving a bag unattended. Our whole plane load of people were kept in the baggage lounge for well over an hour. This meant the connection on the train to Rotterdam was not going to happen. Our tickets were semi flexible so we thought that a simple change of time and we would be on the next train. Flexible meant that we could catch the next train but it would cost us 75 euro’s each. The price we paid originally was only 69 euro’s. We had no choice and paid up, letting Martin know that we would be arriving a few hours later.

Out first couple of days have been used for getting the “Bunyip” ready for our travels. There is always maintenance and improvements to be carried out. Sorting out a plug for the new solar panels, installing USB and lighter socket extension to the spare battery, fitting a couple of door locks, flywire to our new vent, tighten a loose tap, continuing the repairs on the damaged corner and the list goes on.

Jenny did have a break from working on the van and went to an animal park with some of the Dutch family, Ewoud, Trudy and 3 of Ewoud’s grandchildren.

Breaking News: Jenny’s Sister Lori has booked her tickets and will be joining us for 6 weeks beginning at Barcelona and on through to Holland where she will be taking the same flight back to Australia with us. Lori joined us last year at the beginning of our travels, she must have enjoyed it otherwise she wouldn’t be back with us again.

I was hoping to be in the worlds richest 100 or the 100 best looking but alas we are in the 100 plus blog sites to read in 2015.

After looking my stats on the blog site I noticed that someone had visited our site from“First site Guide”. I went to have a look and there we were, don’t know how or why !!!
The site is for people who want to start their own blogs and goes through it step by step. This would have been helpful for when we set up our blog site as it took a lot of trial and error and frustration to get it working properly.
